Thinking about enrolling on a college course this September? Kirklees College has courses available for people of all ages and experience to enrol on from August.

As GCSE results day is fast approaching on 24 August, school leavers who have yet to decide what their next steps are can enrol at Kirklees College. We offer courses in a range of subject areas, including Animal Care, Construction, Business, Health and Social Care, Engineering, Hair and Beauty and more.

Kirklees College is uniquely vocational and all 16-18 courses, whether entry level – level 3 courses, T Levels or apprenticeships, are designed to prepare students for the world of work. Students at Kirklees College benefit from a range of excellent facilities, such as industry-standard training kitchens and a hospital training ward at the Huddersfield Centre, and Motor Vehicle workshops at our Springfield Sixth Form Centre and Engineering Centre.

All students working at level 2 and above at Kirklees College also have work experience built into their timetable. We have partnerships with a range of local and national employers who offer students work placements and come into college to assign briefs and give talks. We also offer multiple T levels, the new technical qualification that combines classroom learning with 315 hours of mandatory work placement. T Levels are recognised by many UK universities, but the work experience element of the qualification also opens doors to employment.

If you’ve got your sights set on a higher skills or higher education qualification, Kirklees College also offers a range of flexible HNCs, HNDs and foundation degrees. The college recently announced a new partnership with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) to offer two new foundation degrees in Business and Management and Computing. The courses will be starting in September and it is not too late to apply.

Kirklees College also offers a range of adult courses. Whether you are looking to try a new hobby, upskill in your career, or are considering a return to education following a break, the college’s courses for 19+ learners have something for everyone. Courses range from one-day workshops to evening classes and professional qualifications and are designed flexibly with people’s work and life commitments in mind.

If you are interested in enrolling on a course that starts in September and haven’t already applied, our enrolment hotline will be open from Monday 14 August. The hotline number is 01484 437100 and is open Monday – Thursday 9am – 4.30pm and Friday 9am – 4pm.
