What is the Learning Resource Centre?

Our Learning Resource Centres are designed to enhance and support your studies by providing access to a wealth of information through physical and digital educational resources.

Kirklees College boasts six Learning Resource Centres (LRC) across our campuses including the impressive LRC, which spans across four floors at the Huddersfield Centre.

Our award-winning centres have been recognised by The LRC, a Council for Learning Resources in Colleges (CoLRiC) with a Grade One ‘Excellent’ Service.

Kirklees College’s LRCs also received the Association of Colleges’ Beacon Award runner-up in 2015, and was the recipient of the CoLRiC Jeff Cooper Award 2016 for its First Steps Literacy Project, which encourages and self-publishes student creative writing work.

The LRC’s innovative and supportive team are also KC Star Award winners and nominees.
