What are taster sessions?

Taster sessions are an excellent way for you to try a subject area before you enrol on the course. Our taster sessions are available to years 9 -13, and the sessions take place during your school day.

Student Competitions

Kirklees College will soon be launching its successful baking competition for the 8th year running. We will be inviting budding chefs from all our surrounding schools to take part in our “Young Chef of the Year” competition, hoping to find aspiring young chefs and provide them with the guidance and encouragement towards a cooking career.

Do you strive to create and capture the perfect picture, the shot that opens the eyes of others to the wonderful world around them? Our Successful Photography competition will be launching in November 2020. We will be inviting creative individuals from all our surrounding schools to take part.

7-a-side (maximum of 10 players). Girls and Boys Competition Years 9-11.

Match Fit

Teams of 8 to 10 students. Girls and Boys Competition Years 9-12.

 

Innov8 is s a competition run throughout Kirklees and Calderdale, to crown the most innovative and enterprising students. It is all about ideas, imagination, passion, and determination.
