Case Studies

Charles Illing
Postgraduate Diploma in Education
Kirklees College is easily accessible and my sessions are in the evening, which works around my schedule. The sessions not only provide you with the core content of initial teacher education but also a great deal of scope to encourage self-development, explore our own provision and challenge us to better our practice.
Melanie Turnbull
PGCE Post Compulsory Education and Training
I would encourage anyone who has been out of education for a long time, like myself, to give it a go. My tutor is so organised and the course is really well written and run. The subject librarian has also supported me to develop my digital literacy.

Michaela Oakey
Level 5 Diploma in Education and Teaching
I have received lots of support from my tutors who are very supportive, knowledgeable and motivational. I would recommend Kirklees College for the quality of support, range of resources and blended learning opportunities.
Becky Lunn
Diploma in Education and Training Award Level 5 TQUK
I have loved going through the journey with my fellow peers and it has been lovely to meet some new friends for life. The standard of teaching is exceptional at Kirklees College and has provided me with a fantastic opportunity to experience teaching within a college first hand.

Jonathan Salmon
Learning and Skills Teacher Apprenticeship
This apprenticeship is ideal for people looking to start a career
in teaching as a second or later career. It’s the best decision I’ve made and I really enjoying taking my learning to the next level.
