Course Overview

Our Intermediate Ceramics Hand Building course is designed for learners who have completed our beginner programme or who already have a grounding in the core hand-building methods: coiling, slab-building and pinch pot techniques. Building on these foundations, this course will guide you through one or two more ambitious projects, giving you the confidence to create larger, more refined ceramic pieces.
All materials and tools are provided. Fired work is charged per finished piece to cover kiln costs—for example, a lamp base would cost £10 in total for both the bisque and glaze firings.
Throughout the course, you will deepen your understanding of design, surface decoration and glazing. You’ll experiment with a range of decorative techniques and develop your own creative approach while working at a comfortable, supportive pace.
This friendly, structured course is ideal for those looking to take their ceramic skills to the next level and create unique, professionally finished work.

Class times: Fridays 13:00-16:00
