Course Overview

The course is designed to support you when you encounter electric/hybrid vehicles within a routine maintenance situation. It will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to work safely around a vehicle that may have had damage to its high energy/electrical system. This course offers an introduction to this specialised industry sector to compliment your current industry qualifications and experience.
This qualification will help support progression to qualifications that further develop knowledge and skills within a technical role, carrying out diagnosis, repair and testing of high voltage components on Electric/Hybrid vehicles.

This course builds on the skills you will have learn at level two. You will acquire significant core knowledge and skills and the ability to remove and replace Electric/Hybrid vehicle high voltage components. You will learn how to work safely on an electric/hybrid vehicle using information to carry out the task. You will learn how to carry out repairs on high energy electrical systems, record information and make suitable recommendations.
