Course Overview
The course allows the flexibility if a student wishes to remain in their current employment. Most of this course is of a practical nature and will allow students to progress with their skills in an on-site practical salon environment with continual supervision, support, and assessment. Classes will be on a Tuesday, 5-9pm.
Through successful completion of this course you will also improve your communication skills including verbal, body language, and positioning. You will study mental awareness, creativity,critical thinking and problem solving skills.
You will learn skills that develop your initiative and adaptability as well as social and cultural awareness.

This course has been developed in partnership with industry professionals to ensure the knowledge the students gain is current and relevant and provides quality enhanced training which will set you apart in the workplace. You will learn practical skills in the following areas, providing a client consultation service, creatively cutting hair using a combination of barbering techniques, designing and creating a range of facial hair shapes and colouring and lightening men’s hair.

To be eligible for this course you will need to have a Level 2 Barbering qualification and be able demonstrate good English and maths skills.
Level 4 Salon Management or NVQ Assessor if you wish to train apprentices.
On completion of this course you can become a stylist in a salon or work as a senior stylist.
