Course Overview
By combining UI/UX design with Computer Science programming, this project-based course gives you the versatility to build high-performance software and stunning web applications from the ground up. You won’t just learn theory; you will research, design, and develop real-world solutions for live clients using industry-standard project management workflows.
You will gain proficiency in professional tools including Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator for design, alongside Visual Studio and Android Studio for development. Throughout the course, you will build a tangible portfolio, by working on themed projects and live client briefs to create a professional portfolio that proves your skills to future employers or universities.
The industry has shifted. Employers no longer want just a coder or just a designer—they want “T-shaped” professionals who understand the full lifecycle of a product. We’ve integrated these disciplines to give you a broader skill set, allowing you to explore both fields before specialising. Universities and employers now place a premium on developers who understand user experience and designers who understand the architecture of code.
In year one, you will build the foundations of your skills, diving into the basics of Web and Software Development, UI/UX principles, and digital design. This year is about building your toolkit and understanding how design and code interact. In second year, you will tailor your learning to your career goals, and move into advances territory of back-end development, mobile app development and complete your final major project.
