Course Overview
This qualification is designed for 16–19 year olds who want a practical route into engineering. It is ideal for students interested in how mechanical, electrical and control systems work together, and supports progression into skilled employment, a higher or degree apprenticeship, or further technical study in engineering and mechatronics.
You will also complete a minimum of 315 hours work placement with an employer as part of this T Level programme. This will allow you to further your practical skills learnt at college in a real-world environment, and develop your professional behaviour.
You will study core engineering knowledge alongside specialist mechatronic content, focusing on integrated systems used in industry. You will develop skills in maintenance planning, fault diagnosis, installation and repair, safe working practices and professional behaviours, combined with a substantial industry placement to build real world experience using industry standard equipment.
You will be taught by industry experts at our state-of-the-art Engineering Centre. The multi-million centre has the very best and most up-to-date equipment and tools required to prep you for a career in mechatronics engineering.
