The Diploma gives you a fully comprehensive bank of the skills and knowledge required to be a manager as part of an organisation, as well as the ability to apply your learning in the context of another organisation or industry sector
Units on this course include Principles of Management and Leadership, Managing a Team to Achieve Results, Building Stakeholder Relationships Using Effective Communication, and Contributing to the Delivery of a Project. As part of this course you will also study, Managing Daily Activities to Achieve Results, Managing Budgets and Resources , Managing Data and Information and finally Managing Own Personal and Professional Development

Five GCSEs although other relevant or prior work experience may also be considered as an alternative. Learners will need to have access to a PC with internet connection to access online resources and complete assignments. CMI application form and interview with CMI tutor required.
Progress to other qualifications at the next level (e.g. from Level 3 Certificate to Level 4 or 5 Certificate)
On successful completion of a Level 3 Diploma in Principles of Management and Leadership, a number of progression opportunities become available:

The cost of this course is £1,515.
An Advanced Learner Loan for £724 is available to cover part of the cost. The remaining £791 can be paid via instalments. Further information can be obtained from customerservices@kirkleescollege.ac.uk
Assessment is normally via practical work-based assignments. This ensures you minimise time away from work and that you undertake work study which is relevant to your own organisation’s context.
