Did you know that Kirklees College is the only provider of T Levels in the Kirklees area? With eight different T Level programmes on offer, exclusive links with industry and state-of-the-art training facilities, studying a T Level at Kirklees College could be the start of an amazing career.
If you love animals and dream of a career built around caring for them, our T Level in Animal Care and Management is an ideal option. With nine weeks of industry placement built into a two-year course, you will cover topics such as biodiversity and the supply chain of the animal care industry, alongside building your enterprise and project management skills.
Perhaps it’s not animals you’re interested in working with, but people. The Health and Social Care sector is one of the fastest-growing in our region, and our T Level Health programmes give you the hands-on experience necessary to progress directly into meaningful employment in the industry. You can choose from two T Level pathways: Supporting the Adult Nursing Team, or Supporting the Mental Health Nursing Team. Both pathways cover a range of topics directly related to caring for either adult, or mental health patients in a healthcare environment. If you study a T Level in Health at our Huddersfield Centre, you will also benefit from the amazing facilities at our pioneering mock hospital ward.
Our T Levels in education will also equip you with the skills needed for a career in working with children and young people. Our Early Years Educator T Level includes work placement in a nursery or early years setting, and if you’d prefer to work in schools, the Assistant Teaching pathway will put you through a placement in the right setting to prepare you for a career in Primary Years.
Perhaps it’s the business world, or growing digital sector that interests you. If so, check out our T Level in Business and Administration: Team Leadership and Management, or T Level in Digital: Software Development. With amazing industry links to companies like Lloyds Banking Group, Jet 2 and more, our Business and Digital T Level students have gone on to secure amazing further training opportunities, such as degree apprenticeships, with some of the biggest companies in the UK. Combine this with in-depth academic studies of Business and Digital Development, and you will leave with a qualification that could get you into university, and work experience to secure your dream role.
If you are more hands-on and want to be involved in construction, or engineering, we offer two related T Levels: Onsite Construction T level in Electrotechnical Engineering, and T Level in Engineering and Manufacturing: Manufacturing, Processing and Control. The T Level in Electrotechnical Engineering is taught at our Brunel Construction Centre and will help you develop your skills in electrical installation techniques. The Engineering T Level is taught at our Engineering Centre, and you will learn using multi-million facilities exclusive to Kirklees College. As with all T Levels, both programmes have work placement built in, which not only develops your practical learning, but can also help you develop relationships with employers that can open doors in your future.
