All the tutors have been supportive and always try to encourage you to reach your full potential. In my experience, I have found that help is only ever a phone call away. Studying an Access course has really helped me to focus on getting where I want to go.

Studied Access to HE Social Sciences
I returned to my education at the age of 36 and Kirklees College supported me, inspired me and removed barriers to learning that I thought were permanent. My tutors helped me to reach my potential and their feedback was invaluable in developing me as an academic. My tutor helped me to realise that getting a first-class honours degree was a possibility and I have now achieved a First-Class Honours degree from the University of Bradford.

There were many great parts about studying at Kirklees College, including meeting new people and the tutors. There is capacity to work part-time, look after children and still study and gain certification. The college is student-centred and friendly and as a mature student I found it to be one of the best years of my life. I have now achieved a First-Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Huddersfield and have accepted a position working as a Rotational Physiotherapist.
