Kirklees College is getting ready to host the first Open Days of the academic year later this month. The Open Days will be held at Huddersfield and Dewsbury Centres, giving prospective students the opportunity to see the college, its facilities, and staff first-hand.
The Open Days will be held at Huddersfield Centres on Saturday 19 November, 10.30am – 1.00pm (last entry 12.30pm). Dewsbury Centres will be open on Wednesday 23 November 5.00pm – 7.30pm (last entry 7.00pm).
The centres that will be open in Huddersfield are the main Huddersfield Centre on Manchester Road, Brunel Construction Centre, Engineering Centre and Taylor Hill Animal Centre. In Dewsbury, prospective students will be able to visit the Pioneer Higher Skills Centre and Springfield Sixth Form Centre, which is dedicated to higher education and higher skills.
Everyone is welcome to attend the events, including prospective students, parents and carers. Visitors will be able to ask questions about our full range of courses, including apprenticeships, 16-18 courses, higher education and adult courses.
Teachers, students and staff will be there to give advice, practical demonstrations and help guide visitors around the centres.
Helen Rose, Director of External Relations said: “Our open days have been a huge success in the past and offer prospective students the very important opportunity to get a feel for the college. We hope to see lots of faces on the day and look forward to welcoming guests across our centres.”
