Kirklees College is proud to announce a new partnership with HC-One’s Lydgate Lodge Care Home in Batley that has been designed to support and inspire the next generation of adult social care professionals.
Through this collaboration, students will gain valuable placement opportunities that enhance their learning and help strengthen high-quality care within the sector.
Jess Williams, Employer Engagement & Placement Advisor at Kirklees College, recently visited Lydgate Lodge to meet the team and explore the home’s impressive facilities.
Jess commented: “I go to a lot of homes, and this is one of the best I have seen. The facilities are out of this world. Our Kirklees College students are going to gain some valuable experience at a key point in their education and training.”
Ben Makwar, Home Manager at Lydgate Lodge, added: “It is so important to support young people as they embark on an important career in adult social care, and we are delighted to be able to support them on this journey!”
As part of the partnership, students will benefit from hands on experience and real insight into the day-to-day operations of a care home, preparing them for meaningful and rewarding careers in adult social care.
