Following A Level and BTEC results being issued this week, Kirklees College will be hosting a Virtual Open Day to support its prospective Higher Education students who are considering a new career or wanting to further their learning.
The next instalment of the successful online events programme will take place via the new Kirklees College website, where people will be able to access information on the college’s Higher Education and Higher Skills courses and apprenticeships, as well as virtual tours of its centres and presentations on subject areas, including Access to Higher Education, Creative Industries, Animal Management, Early Years, Business, IT and Teaching.
Teaching and support staff will also be available to talk to online during the timetabled Q&A sessions via Microsoft Teams to guide students through the full-time and part-time vocational study programmes available to fit around their family and other commitments, as well as the application process and student support services.
Philippa Firth, Assistant Principal for Adults and Higher Education at Kirklees College, said:
“The coronavirus pandemic has meant that the education sector has had to adapt to the ever-changing circumstances and new challenges that we all face. We expect to see greater demand for jobs in many of the vocational subject areas we offer at Kirklees College and encourage those seeking a specialist route into employment or the next stage of their education to sign up and see how we can support them on their educational journey.”
Registration for the upcoming Virtual Open Day is now open. To book, please visit the dedicated website page. The presentations will also be available to view after the event on the Kirklees College YouTube channel and website.
