Following the government’s announcement of its four-step roadmap out of lockdown, Kirklees College has started to reopen its centres this week from Monday 8 March.

The college has set up its own Covid-19 testing facility at its Huddersfield Centre and students have been invited by appointment to take a Covid-19 test. Students from other centres have been invited to attend one of the local Kirklees community test centres by appointment. Students have received letters with these details and are reminded to bring their smartphone to their appointment and register using their college email address.

Face to face teaching is resuming from Monday 15 March for students who have been notified. Remote learning will still be in place for those who have not yet been invited to return to college.

Whilst the college is looking forward to welcoming students back, it is vital that all the Covid-19 guidelines continue to be implemented to keep the college community as safe as possible.

When on-site, students will be asked to wear face coverings at all times, including in lessons and previous precautions such as ‘Hands, Face, Space’ will still be applicable.

If students have any questions or have missed their test appointment, they should contact their tutor or email support@kirkleescollege.ac.uk.
