Following the Government announcement that from Friday 20 March all colleges will be closed until further notice, Kirklees College has moved all teaching, learning and working online for the foreseeable future.

At this stage, it cannot be confirmed when Kirklees College will reopen. However, the college will be working hard to ensure that all students, particularly the most vulnerable, remain supported at this very difficult and challenging time.

The college is issuing the latest guidance to all students, parents, carers, staff and employers via email and the VLE and the Department for Education launched a new helpline to answer any questions about COVID-19 related to education. Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline every weekday between 8am and 6pm by calling 0800 046 8687 or emailing coronavirushelpline@education.gov.uk

Vice Principal, Carmen Gonzalez-Eslava praised and thanked all staff on behalf of the College. She said “you have all embraced the numerous communications, responded swiftly to all requests, worked together brilliantly and, above all, put our learners first.”
