Kirklees College is set to host multiple interactive Virtual Open Days this month to support prospective students considering their next steps.
Open to 16-18-year-old students, parents and carers, the Virtual Open Days will take place over one week from Tuesday 19 January – Saturday 23 January 2021. Each virtual event will be dedicated to different subject areas, including Animal Care, Business, Construction, Creative Industries, Hair and Beauty, Health and Social Care, Motor Vehicle, Public Services, Sports and Travel and Tourism.
The webinars will take place via the Kirklees College website, where people will be able to book on to live subject talks, watch new virtual centre tours, chat with tutors and learn more about apprenticeships. Staff will also be available to guide students through the application process, work experience opportunities, student support services and answer any questions.
Helen Rose, Director of External Relations at Kirklees College, said:
“These continue to be uncertain times for young people considering their future options. Although students may not be able to visit us in person, we are committed to using our online resources to help prospective students make an informed decision about their next steps. We enjoyed great success with our previous virtual events and look forward to again showcasing what Kirklees College has to offer.”
Registration for the upcoming Virtual Open Days is now open. If students are unable to attend an event live, they can go to the Kirklees College YouTube channel where a recording of the session will be available to view.
