Course Overview
This HNC course is designed to equip you with the relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours to work in management positions across the varied and fast-paced Travel and Tourism industry. This qualification is perfect for those who already hold Travel and Tourism qualifications or have worked in the industry for some time and wish to expand their business knowledge of the industry to upskill and progress in their careers.
With modules covering breadth and depth of the industry, achieving your HNC will serve as great grounding for a rewarding career in the sector. There will also be an emphasis on personal development, and your tutors will sign post you to additional learning opportunities with local employer partners.

During the course, you will complete a number of modules to prepare you for various tasks and roles within the industry. Some of these will be more relevant to business functions, such as marketing, customer experience and leadership and management. Other modules are more specific to the industry, such as visitor attraction management, global tourism destinations and the contemporary travel and tourism industry.

A Level 3 qualification in Travel and Tourism, or a GCE Advanced Level profile that demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject or adequate performance in more than one GCE subject. GCSE grades A* – C and or 9 – 4 in subjects such as maths and English. Other related Level 3 qualifications, such as an Access to HE Diploma, will also be accepted.
You can progress to our International Travel and Tourism HND Level 5 course. Alternatively, you can progress straight to employment, an apprenticeship or degree-level study.
The full-time course fee for this course is £6,950. Financial support including Advanced Learner Loans are available for this course.
Completion of the HND will prepare you for a range of managerial and leadership roles across the various Travel and Tourism industries.
You will be assessed on a range of written and practical assignments throughout the HNC.
