On Wednesday 16 October, we hosted our annual Higher Education and Higher Skills graduation at our Huddersfield Centre. Graduates from Animal Care, Counselling, Engineering and Teacher Education were all honoured for their achievements in the ceremony, being congratulated on stage by Principal and CEO of Kirklees College, Palvinder Singh.
To start the evening, graduates and their guests enjoyed mocktails and canapes prepared by the team at our student-led restaurant, Landings72 and the opportunity to network with their classmates and tutors.
Marie Suggitt, Higher Education Quality Manager at Kirklees College, compered the ceremony, which also included an inspiring speech from Luke Ambler, Chair and Co-Founder of Andy’s Man Club about the importance of vulnerability and being true to yourself. Luke also joined Palvinder on stage to congratulate the graduates.
Speaking about the day, Marie commented:
“Kirklees College is proud to commend all its recent graduates. Our graduation ceremony was a celebration of where a vocation-based education can take you. Our graduates here will leave Kirklees College equipped with vital practical and personal skills and knowledge needed to build the workforce in key sectors and make valuable contributions to society.”
