Kirklees Talking Therapies

If you live in Kirklees and are over the age of 17, you can access our talking therapies service for help with problems like mild depression, anxiety, stress, panicking, nervousness, isolation and lack of sleep.

This counselling service offers guided self-help, which is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles.

These sessions can help you understand your symptoms, identify what is keeping your problems going and learn how to break the cycle using self-help techniques.

Wellbeing Support at Kirklees College

We actively support and promote the importance of po
sitive wellbeing to all our students.

As well as our free student counselling services, we also have a range of facilities onsite at our different centres that encourage positive wellbeing. These include our Oasis Rooms, which are quiet rooms where students can go to self-regulate and speak to a member of the SEND team in private.

The on-site Waterfront Gym at our Huddersfield Centre is also free to all our students, where we run health and wellbeing activities throughout the year.
