Verdant Specialty Solutions is seeking a motivated Logistics Apprentice to join our Halifax site for a 2.5‑year apprenticeship programme starting in March 2026. This role will be based onsite as a Logistics Coordinator, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager under the direct supervision of the Logistics Supervisor.
As part of the role, you will work in accordance with our Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards to ensure that all products and services meet regulatory requirements, company policies, and customer expectations.

The Halifax site is one of three production facilities specialising in surfactants, natural and synthetic polymers, and amines. We develop innovative formulations that support our customers with sustainable, high‑performing solutions designed to deliver:
- Cleansing
- Softening

Our products serve a wide range of end markets including home and personal care, agricultural specialties, industrial and architectural coatings, oil & gas, and various other industrial applications.
About the Role
The purpose of this apprenticeship is to develop your skills in organising and coordinating a network of interconnected businesses involved in delivering goods and services to customers.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Coordinating outbound deliveries
- Selecting trailer types and supporting route planning
- Communicating with hauliers and internal teams
- Supporting export shipments and customs compliance
- Handling consignments, including those involving dangerous goods
Skills & Experience Required
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 (C) or above
- A genuine interest in developing a career in Supply Chain and Logistics
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good IT capability, with proficient Excel skills essential
- Ability to solve problems effectively
- Ability to build cooperative working relationships across departments
