The Mechatronics Apprenticeship with KSG represents an opportunity for you to work towards a structured training and development program to become a fully qualified Hydraulic & Electrical Fitter.

Technical Competencies & Experience:

  • A good standard of secondary education
  • Successfully passed the College assessment criteria
  • Level 3-Mechatronics Maintenance
  • Mandatory health and safety training

Commitments:

  • Willing to attend College as required including the completion of the EPA
  • Willing to attend additional training to assist development. All additional training will be funded by the company
  • Willing to travel and/or lodge away from home if required to undertake work on customer sites
  • Willing to undergo security clearance if required

Job responsibilities

The Apprentice will learn how to, and then as confidence grows begin to:

  • Build & maintain Electrical Equipment
  • Build & maintain Fluid Power Equipment
  • Carry Out Fault Diagnosis on Electrical Equipment and Circuits
  • Modify or Rewire Electrical Circuits
  • Test Electrical Equipment and Circuits
  • Complete hydraulic fault-finding activities
  • Take responsibility for, and maintain hydraulic workshop equipment, including tools, test rigs, and hoses, ensuring they are in full working order
  • Work in line with company safety guidelines, ensuring correct use of PPE and safe working practices at all times

KPIs:

  • Satisfactory progress in Level 3 – Mechatronics Maintenance
  • Completion of Level 3 – Mechatronics Maintenance
