As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Help set up the playroom at the beginning and end of session
- Key person
- Responsible for personal care of children, subject to adequate vetting
- Offering an appropriate level of support and stimulating play ideas
- Working in partnership with parents and potential customers
Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
Your training plan
Working towards Level 2/3 in Early years.
Paediatric first aid training –Â this will be delivered upon successful employment.
DBS checked and willing to go on the update service.
All staff will be expected to attend training, most of which is provided via an online portal.
Apprentices will train for their apprenticeship at Kirklees College.
