What You’ll Be Doing
- Learning to operate traditional woodworking machinery such as planers, bandsaws, spindle moulders, and tenoners
- Reading and understanding technical drawings with guidance
- Assisting with cutting, shaping, and finishing timber to specification
- Helping to maintain machinery and keep the workshop safe and tidy
- Working as part of a friendly, supportive team to meet production goals
- Developing your skills and knowledge in a real manufacturing environment
Desirable (but not essential)
- Studying or recently completed a course in Wood Machining, Joinery, Carpentry, or a related field
- Some workshop or tool-handling experience
- Awareness of workshop safety and best practices
