Course Overview

If you want to start your career in adult social care, this is the ideal course to get you started. The course will be taught at our modern Pioneer Higher Skills Centre in Dewsbury, where you will attend classes three days a week for two weeks, making it a time efficient as well as being a thorough introduction to the sector. The course was also developed in association with the Sector Skills Council.
This is an entry-level qualification in which you will complete the following modules: Awareness of Communication in Adult Social Care, Introduction to the Values and Principles of Adult Social Care, Introduction to the Adult Social Care Sector, Awareness of the Role and Responsibilities of the Adult Social Care Worker and Awareness of the Skills and Attitudes Needed to Work in Adult Social Care.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
Candidates can progress into employment and/or to the following the City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England.
Employment in adult social work and the wider health and social care sector.

This course is free, subject to eligibility.

You will be assessed through written assignments.
