Course Overview

It is a knowledge-based qualification. That is relevant for varied roles that support staff may fulfil including: administrative roles, site support roles, technical roles and volunteers, as well as roles that work directly with children and young people in the learning environment.

To complete the course no work placement is required.

Greenwood Library, Ravensthorpe: 15/11/23 – Wednesdays, 10:00-13:00
In order to achieve this qualification, you will be required to complete 6 mandatory units covering subjects such as Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity and Safeguarding amongst others.

You will have access to support materials to help you with your course, along with support from your assessor.

The Award shares mandatory units with the Level 2 Certificate in Teaching and Learning qualification, providing a direct progression route.

You will have links to Microsoft teams where you will attend workshops with your assessor who will support you through the course. Assignments are the method of assessment for this qualification.
