The Early Years Educator Level 3 qualification will provide you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to become a highly trained professional who will play a key role in ensuring that young children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe.

Course Overview
Classes will be Fridays, 12.30-3.30pm.
Whilst studying the Early Years Educator qualification, you may work in a range of settings, including full day care, children’s centres, preschools, reception classes. You may either be working on your own or supervising others to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements set by government for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old.

The course will cover various subjects related to child development, safeguarding, play, learning and assessment. You will be expected to demonstrate and apply your knowledge and skills on placement and also within your own individual portfolio. You will take part in a variety of planned placement activities over the duration of the course.
You will be expected to communicate and interact effectively within a team using a full range of skills. You will learn the importance of working independently, taking responsibility for initiating and completing tasks and understanding the impact of your work on others within an Early Education setting.

A minimum of level 2 English and level 1 maths. A DBS check and 10 hrs per week placement/employment in a relevant setting is also required.
If you should choose to progress to university then this course is does have UCAS points.
