This is a year-long course that will help you improve your skills and knowledge across a wide range of art and design subjects, preparing you for your chosen degree or helping you decide which course to study.

Course Overview
You will build a strong portfolio of work before you start your degree, so you can hit the ground running and realise your full potential.
On this course you will study at range of disciplines with teaching modules covering six areas of learning.
The qualification is delivered through two main phases: an initial exploratory phase, and a final confirmatory phase. These will be delivered via a range of lectures, seminars and practical workshop sessions in disciplines such as drawing and painting, photography, 3D, fashion and textiles, digital arts and video. There are no exams and final projects will be presented at the end of year exhibition.

You should have a minimum of one A Level or equivalent, plus three GCSE passes at Grade 4 (C), including English and maths, plus a portfolio of your art work.
If you have an EHCP then please be aware that the college needs to have agreed, via the consultation period with your local authority, that we can meet the needs outlined in your EHCP before you can start on a course with us.

Undergraduate courses in Art and Design, HNC/HND Art Practice, HNC/HND Fashion, HNC/HND Photography, HNC/HND Graphic Design.
Progression opportunities also include Graphic Designer, Artist, Photographer, Illustrator, Digital Designer, Interior Designer, Camera Operator
