Course Overview
The Entry Level 3 Award in Carpentry and Joinery qualification has been developed for delivery in a training environment; this means that you do not need to be employed to study this qualification.
You will also learn to prepare to carry out Carpentry and Joinery and how to clear and store Carpentry and Joinery tools and use specialist equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
On this course, you will cover practical skills and knowledge needed in the Construction industry. The course comprises of four mandatory units. You will learn about Health and Safety in Construction trades and basic Carpentry and Joinery skills.
You will have the opportunity to study at Brunel Construction Centre, which offers industry standard facilities to support your learning. The college will also tailor your timetable to suit your individual needs.

There are no formal entry requirements to take this qualification. This qualification can be undertaken without any previous training or qualifications in this subject area.
This qualification will enable you to progress in Carpentry and Joinery and on completion of this qualification, progress into employment in your chosen trade or on to one of the following qualifications: Level 1 Award in Carpentry and Joinery, Level 1 Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery or Level 1 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery.
This course costs £305.
You will be provided with a learner workbook and each unit will be signed off by your tutor on a unit-by-unit basis. Completion of the workbook will ensure that you have met all assessment criteria. This qualification is ungraded.
