Course Overview
This course will help with the use of conventional workshop production machines including centre lathes and vertical and horizontal milling machines. The course content is flexible but is set to develop the pure novice to an ability that is comparable to a Level 2 machinist. This course will allow for a competent hobbyist to progress, complete an already started project or for someone to build on an established skill set.
On this course, you will be producing work items such as a plumb bob, spirit level, mallett and tool makers clamp.
The course is aimed at people wishing to refresh skills they have acquired in the past, amateur hobbyists or people just wanting to find out if this could be the path to a new career.

There are no formal qualifications are necessary for this course, but having competence in manual milling and turning techniques is helpful.
This course costs £900.
You will be assessed through a combination of assignments and an externally set examination.
