Course Overview
This qualification is ideal if you are currently employed in the plumbing and domestic heating industry and want to develop your existing skills. This course will enable you to confidently install, survey, propose and design domestic or small commercial heat pump systems. You will also demonstrate a knowledge of service, maintenance and fault diagnosis and fault rectification of heat pump systems.
Y/602/3054- Know the requirements to install, commission and handover heat pump systems (non-refrigerant circuits)
D/602/3072 – Install, commission and handover heat pumps (non-refrigerant circuits)
F/602/3078 – Know the requirements to inspect, service and maintain heat pump system installations (non-refrigerant circuits)
L/602/3083 – Inspect, service and maintain heat pump installations (non- refrigerant circuits)
Heat Pump Technology (2days), Air Source and Ground Source (2day) Total = 4 days.
D/602/3072 – Install, commission and handover heat pumps (non-refrigerant circuits)
F/602/3078 – Know the requirements to inspect, service and maintain heat pump system installations (non-refrigerant circuits)
L/602/3083 – Inspect, service and maintain heat pump installations (non- refrigerant circuits)
Heat Pump Technology (2days), Air Source and Ground Source (2day) Total = 4 days.
The purpose of this qualification is for learners to be able to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to install heat pumps systems within the Building Services Engineering (BSE) renewable sector. The target groups for the qualification are those learners who are: 1. Updating occupational competence, continuous professional development and/or obtaining a licence to practice 2. Preparing for further learning or training and/or developing knowledge and/or skills in a subject area and are existing workers in the occupation seeking to extend their range of work
Once booked on to this course the candidate will receive the BPEC Heat Pump Installer Manual. It is essential candidates have access to this manual prior to the training starting.
