Course Overview
Computers can be intimidating, especially if you didn’t grow up with them. Some tasks that seem simple to experienced users can seem impossible to new users. In this free, friendly course you’ll learn more about the types of computers and operating systems in use today. You’ll also gain a better understanding of the basic parts of a computer, how applications are used, connecting to the Internet, and much more.

Classes will run on the following days:
Pioneer Higher Skills Centre – Thursday 10:00am-12:30pm
There will be no class running on Thursday 15th May due to GCSE exams taking place.

This computer basics course goes at your own pace to make sure you understand the basics. On the course you will learn buttons and ports on a Computer and what the basic parts do. You will learn about Microsoft office and the internet and how to keep yourself safe online. At the end of the course you will have the confidence to try new things and move on to our next digital level.
