Head of Post-16 SEND and Mental Health Unit at the Department for Education visits Kirklees College

On Thursday 22 January, the Head of Post-16 SEND and Mental Health Unit at the Department for Education, Alasdaire Duerden visited Kirklees College.

Alasdaire had the opportunity to tour our Huddersfield and Springfield Sixth Form centres and catch up with various people from the college, including the Director for Safeguarding and Student Experience, Lisa Eaton and Head of Inclusive Learning, Sue Green.

Lisa was delighted with the visit saying: Lisa was delighted with the visit, saying: “It was great to showcase to Alasdaire the support that we offer all of our students, and the specialist provision for those with High Needs and SEND. He was very complimentary about the college, which is a testament to the amazing work that goes on every day.“
