Course Overview
We will work with you to plan your customised programme. We will strive toward your goals in your EHCP. The course will be outwards facing, and we will work towards supporting you to access your local community. A lot of your learning will happen outside of the classroom. What you want to learn will determine the rest.
In addition, some of the themes covered on this course may include: tutorial, movement, personal care, safety in the community, interacting with others, accessing the local offer, and using IT to support community access. Most of your lessons will be practical. You will learn English and maths skills in this way too.

Core Skills Gained:
There are no formal entry requirements. You will take part in an interview to see if the course is right for you and to see if you have any additional support needs.
If you have an EHCP then please be aware that the college needs to have agreed, via the consultation period with your local authority, that we can meet the needs outlined in your EHCP before you can start on a course with us.

This course has been designed as an entry level to the Pathway to Independence. Students may progress within the Pathways model that matches their current progress against the preparation for adulthood framework, their EHCP outcomes and their aspirations for the future.
Students will have the opportunity to build a portfolio of evidence to meet their EHCP outcomes following the Preparation for Adulthood framework. You will be assessed through participation in individual and group activities through a variety of different methods that meet your needs, as well as observations of practical activities.
