Course Overview
On this Level 1 course, you will be introduced to both the Business and IT sectors by studying a range of units which will allow you to develop transferable, sector-related skills.
You will also learn a range of computing skills, including how to use digital technologies. As part of the course, you will be asked to design an interactive presentation.
The business side of the course will teach you organisational skills and you will be asked to develop a Personal Progression Plan as part of your studies. You will also be introduced to finance, learning about income and expenditure.

Core Skills Gained:
A minimum of 4 GCSEs with the following grades: English at 2 or above and maths at 1 or above and 2 other GCSEs at 2 or above.

You could enter employment within a wide range of industry settings, in roles such as customer service adviser, retail. Careers in IT include IT support, computer programming and developing, games development and website development assistant or junior administrator.
You will be assessed by discussions, observations, group presentations, written assessments and group activities. Coursework will be set to reflect the practical skills learnt within class.
