This course is designed to prepare you to progress to the full T Level in Health: Supporting the Adult Nursing Team.

Course Overview

This course will provide you with an opportunity for you to study GCSE English Language, maths and biology to provide you with knowledge and understanding of core subject areas in health and social care to support your progression to further learning on the T Level Health course or the workplace.
You will be required to complete an industry placement in a relevant sector to support your theory work and your progression onto Level 3. You will complete 120 hours of work placement in health or social care setting to enable you to develop excellent employability skills and working knowledge of the health and social care sectors.
You will learn how to provide person-centred care, moving and handling patients, infection control and safeguarding practices. You will understand legislation, including governance and GDPR as well as RIPC and PPE. You will understand fire safety and be able to offer basic life support and first aid. You will qualify as a Mental Health First Aider and become a Reflective Practitioner with knowledge of equality and diversity.
Upon achievement of this qualification, and GCSE grade 4 or above in English Language, maths and Biology learners will be able to progress onto our T Level in Health: Supporting the Adult Nursing Team. The Certificate supports progression to further learning or to employment within the health and social care sector.

Core Skills Gained:

A minimum of GCSE English, maths and science at grade 3 or above.
You can progress to our Health Supporting the Adult Nursing Team T Level, further learning or to employment within the health and social care sector.
You can progress to roles within the health and social care sector, including a care worker, support worker, phlebotomist or enrol on an NHS apprenticeship.

You will be assessed through assignments, presentations and GCSE exams.
