Course Overview
This course provides a solid foundation for accounting professionals and will give you the necessary skills to progress to Level 3 AAT and further. This course is ideal for accountants who have a basic knowledge of accounting and the processes of accounts.
You will learn how to work effectively in an accounting environment and develop an understanding of software, elements of costing, bookkeeping controls, transactions and synoptic. The final synoptic assessment covers three previously studied units on the course.
As part of the AAT study programme, you will be expected to undertake substantial work-experience within an accounting environment. There will also be an industry-related project that will allow you to tackle real-life accounting scenarios.

Core Skills Gained:
5 GCSE Grade 4 or above including English and maths.

During the course, you will complete AAT formal examinations for each unit and a final synoptic exam covering 3 of the units of study.
This course is a level 2 qualification, but you will be studying AAT qualifications which will stretch and challenge this is why the course entry criteria is higher than a normal Level 2 course.
