Course Overview
Esports is an industry where teams will compete against one another using video games. The industry has both local and global stages, which can be as small as a school holding a private match or as large as two countries holding tournaments that span a few days!
You will undertake a mixture of practical and theory-based tasks to develop your confidence, including developing and marketing your own team and planning college Esports events. You will attend a variety of competitions and have the opportunity to network with guest speakers from the industry.
The course will cover Esports games, teams and tournaments and how to establish an Esports organisation. You will also learn how to plan an event and stream it to audiences. The course also covers positive health and wellbeing, as well as how to start an enterprise in the industry.
You will have access to the colleges brand-new dedicated room which will provide high-spec gaming computers and equipment. The classroom will provide a fun and inspiring environment to help you progress to the next level of study or employment. The qualification can lead to a range of careers within the IT, public services and entertainment industries.

Core Skills Gained:
4 GCSE’s Grade 3 or above to include English and maths.
