Course Overview
Functional Skills qualifications are designed for those wanting to build confidence with their English skills. The course will provide you with the essential knowledge and skills to operate confidently, effectively and independently in life and work. You will need access to a device, as this course cannot be completed using a mobile phone.
The class times are as follows:
Huddersfield
E1 – 3: Monday, 9.30am – 11am
L1 – 2: Monday 12pm – 2pm or Tuesday 6pm – 7.30pm
Pioneer
E1 -3: Wednesday, 1pm – 1.30pm L1 -2: Monday 12pm – 1.30pm

Before you start a class, you will need to undertake an assessment to determine your current level. You can book an assessment slot via the college website. This course starts at entry level 1 and you can progress up to a level 2 qualification.

Free if you don’t already have a Level 2 Functional Skills qualification or a grade 4 or C or above at GCSE.
