Wood Machinist Apprentice – Knightsbridge Furniture Productions Limited

Here at Knightsbridge Furniture, we manufacture quality bespoke furniture. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic person to join our existing highly skilled team of wood machinists. Throughout your course, you will be taught on all aspects of wood machining enabling you to produce highquality furniture components. This is a great opportunity.

Working Week:

Monday to Thursday, 7.00am to 5.15pm (Breaks to be confirmed). 39 hours a week.

What you’ll do at work

Learning how to operate and set all aspects of wood machines
Gain an understanding of what it takes to turn rough-sawn timber into finished furniture components
Learn how to work as part of a team and on your own, gaining the skills required to become a fully qualified wood machinist
Set up and operate machinery, tools and equipment used to produce furniture
Identify issues quickly, solve problems and apply appropriate solutions

Training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Your training course

Wood machinist – Equal to Level 2 (GCSE)

You will attend the Brunel Construction Centre
You will receive your Level 2 Furniture Manufacturer Qualification
You will attend college once a week
The training schedule has yet to be agreed upon, further details will be made available at a later date
