Course Overview

This course is aimed at people looking to progress to a higher level of education and unify elements of work within the modern creative industries.
This qualification has been designed to encourage the development of skills and self-reflection needed to navigate a unique and varied route through a complex landscape of careers.
The flexible modules and assessments can be shaped to suit your individual practice and prepare you for working in creative industries or progressing into further training or higher education.
This is a practical qualification and issues relating to health and safey are encountered in many modules as well as being addressed through the health and safety criteria link to assessment.
Cultural awareness is linked with success in many aspects of the Creative Industries qualifications. The qualification gives you the opportunity to explore notions of community and society and their impact on individuals or groups and understand your rights and responsibilities.
You will also gain an insight into legal and democratic institutions and processes, roles of other bodies, economic development and environment skills. This qualification provides a fantastic opportunity to enhance your skills, develop new ones and form a career plan which will inspire you to succeed within Creative Industries.

3 A levels – one must be in a related creative discipline, or
Extended Diploma in a related creative discipline, or
Level 3 Access to HE qualification in related creative discipline

All students will be expected to have GCSE English and maths Grade 4/C or above and provide a portfolio of work.
Level 5 Creative Industries Practitioners / Higher National Certificate / Higher National Diploma / Degree
Creative Performer / practitioner / Creative Entrepreneur / Sound technician / theatre technician / Artist / designer / graphic designer / fashion designer / Ceramicist
