Course Overview

This course provides an introduction into a wide range of photographic genres and professional career opportunities. It is an introductory programme which offers those with an interest in photographic media the opportunity to develop new and existing knowledge, skills and experience.
Core units:
Different genres of photography
Studio and location photography
Camera craft
Concept development
Image editing
Post production work
The programme enables each student to explore and engage with different avenues, techniques and processes and develop an understanding of where their area of interest lies. There is a focus on a real world, industry led curriculum designed to help individual students reach their potential.

BTEC Extended Diploma or Foundation Diploma at MPP or 64 UCAS points and GCSE English and maths grade 4 (C) or above, plus a portfolio of your art work.
Following the Photography HNC you can progress on to the HND course or into industry.
Once you are qualified you can go on to be a Studio Photographer, Freelance Photographer, Photo Journalist, Photography Assistant and Camera Operator

You will be assessed by a mixture of assignments, your portfolio of work, projects completed to brief and on-line assessments.
