Congratulations to Level 3 business student Tiffany Boland who has reached the finals of a national competition.

Tiffany, from Huddersfield, is through to the final stage of the BTEC Business and Enterprise Student of the Year at the Pearson BTEC Awards.

Nominations have been passed onto the final judging panel made up of industry experts and members of the Pearson senior leadership team for review.
The final judging panel will meet on Monday 15 May to choose the 2017 BTEC Awards winners.

Tiffany, a former pupil of Moor End Academy and Fartown High School, said she was surprised to find out she had been nominated but was “excited and delighted” to have reached the final.

Tutor Gary Holden said:  “The BTEC Student of the Year Awards is a national competition with hundreds of nominations per category so to reach the finals is a tremendous achievement.

“Everyone in the department is extremely proud of Tiffany. Her attendance is exemplary, her work ethic is faultless and she is now gaining recognition for all of the hard work that she has put in over the last two years.

“Everyone who has the pleasure of teaching her has commented on her attitude, outlook and respect that she has for her peers and teachers.

“This recognition goes to show what hard work, determination and a positive attitude can have.”
