Kirklees College wishes to invite bids for the delivery of two Community Learning programmes.

Interested parties may bid for either or both contracts.

This Invitation To Tender closes at midnight Friday 3rd March 2017, any bids received after this time will not be considered.

  1. IT and Digital

The College wants to procure delivery of the following Community Learning provision:

  • Short IT and Digital community learning courses (minimum of 10 hours delivery and an additional enrolment session)
  • To prioritise learners who have already engaged with an introductory course delivered by a Kirklees Community Learning partner (but not exclude others where places are available)
  • To prioritise ‘hard to reach’ learners including, job seekers, those on low incomes and those who live in priority areas
  • Aimed at enabling adult learners (19+) to participate more fully in the digital age both with regards to their employment and home lives
  • To be non-accredited but assessed using a robust RARPA process
  • To include a level of flexibility which will enable learners to develop the IT skills which are most pertinent to them
  1. Progression

The College wants to procure delivery of the following Community Learning provision:

  • Short courses which enable learners to focus on their future learning and development
  • Course structure and content is flexible as the college is keen to evaluate a range of course offers.
  • Minimum of 6 hours delivery
  • To prioritise ‘hard to reach’ learners including, job seekers, those on low incomes and those who live in priority areas
  • Aimed at enabling adult learners (19+) to progress to college courses either within the 2016/17 academic year or in 2017/18.
  • Progression options include English, maths, ESOL and a range of vocational courses.
  • The college will work with successful providers to organise progression activity to the college offer.
  • To be non-accredited but assessed using a robust RARPA process

Additional Notes

All delivery must take place within Kirklees and preference will be given to Providers who can demonstrate a proven ability to deliver in priority communities.

All delivery must be within the eligibility criteria set out in the Skills Funding Agency Funding Rules 2016/17.
