Love our
colleges

This week we are proud to be celebrating Colleges Week, a key part of the Love Our Colleges campaign. In partnership with the Association of Colleges, this week will be about recognising the brilliant work that goes on at Kirklees College and the inspiring and innovative ways our staff support our students and the community.

Get In, Go Further

This year, Colleges Week has a theme of ‘Get in, go further’. As part of ‘Get in’ we will showcase the great things that go on at Kirklees College every day. ‘Go further’ will highlight the destinations that Kirklees College takes its students.

We can’t wait to celebrate the fantastic work of our students and staff. Please feel free to get in touch to share any aspects of our community that you want to see showcased this week. We will be using this page to showcase our highlights.

Case Studies

Ben

Former Student and Kirklees College Staff Member

Kirklees College was a great experience for me. It allowed me to follow my passions and develop myself as an individual. As President of the Students Union, I got the chance to make sure that every student at college could have their voice heard and allowed me to progress into a full-time role within student recruitment. Now I can share how great my college experience was and make sure everyone knows of the great opportunities found in college life.

Grace Woodyet

Kirklees College Student Union President

Kirklees College has really nurtured me as a student allowing me to achieve more than I had ever thought! My tutors helped me in finding a job to run alongside my studies which has really helped to boost my confidence and gain industry experience while still working towards my qualification. It has opened so many doors for me allowing me to experience opportunities I wouldn’t otherwise have been able to!

Amber Saeed

Studying Business Level 3

I love Kirklees College because it is such a diverse place, the students and the staff treat everybody as individuals. This is a place where you can be yourself.
