Kirklees College students are celebrating their GCSE results after an extraordinary academic year.

The college’s results show a significant increase in the number of students who achieved a grade 4 or above compared to the previous year, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of both its staff and students.

Students have overcome the challenges they have faced this year due to the pandemic, with many now progressing to their chosen study programme or starting an apprenticeship and taking a step closer to a successful career.

Carmen Gonzalez-Eslava, Vice Principal Curriculum, Performance and Innovation, praised students, commenting:

“Many congratulations to all our students who have achieved their GCSE in English and/or Maths or improved their grades – well done! We’re thrilled that the number of students who have achieved a grade 4 or above has significantly increased from the previous year and we’re celebrating this fabulous news with our amazing students and staff.”
