You will undertake three modules:
- Looking at studio lighting, still life and portraiture,
- Location and landscape photography,
- Working with a photographic brief.
How will I spend my time on the course?
You will receive a series of short lectures and group discussions combined with hands on workshops held in the excellent large photographic studios at Batley School of Art. The black and white darkroom suite (for film based work) and the IT suite (for digital) are also available. This is fully equipped with iMacs and PCs with the latest versions of industry standard software. You will also be encouraged to research aspects of photography that will help inform and develop your own image making while recording your progress in a workbook/sketchbook.

Progress on to a level 3 course in a related subject.
Should you achieve the production of a strong portfolio and a successful workbook progress on to a level 4 course in a related subject may be possible.
