Key Duties and Responsibilities:

To provide an effective, flexible and responsive administrative/business support service to key members of staff and carry out tasks as directed by them.

To act as first point of contact for these staff, taking messages and dealing with queries.

To ensure enquiries from all sources such as parents, pupils, outside agencies etc. are responded to sensitively and resolved appropriately.

To service meetings where appropriate, including preparing agendas, minute taking and distribution of documentation.

To ensure correspondence, documents/reports and data are produced and formatted to high standards ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

To liaise with staff, pupils, or other outside agencies as required to gather, receive and exchange information within a timely manner ensuring strict confidentiality at all times.

Contribute to developing and maintaining effective and appropriate administrative systems in support of the school’s practices and procedures.

Provide admin support to other departments as required.

To ensure adequate filing systems are maintained and kept up to date.

Additional Information

To work flexibly with other administrators in the School, providing a service where most needed.

To undertake specific admin tasks for the School as a whole and to provide support as and when required

Undertake any such duties commensurate with the post as directed by the Head, SLT or Line Manager in order to ensure the smooth running of the school.

It is expected that, as part of a team of staff, the postholder would be able to deputise for other members during their absence, and to assist them at times when their workload is particularly heavy. Generic Requirements

The post-holder may be required to take on additional responsibilities when necessary to ensure the effective running of the school.

You will cover the necessary Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours, gather evidence and attend workshop & taught classes throughout the duration then complete an End Point Assessment.

The End Point Assessment involves Portfolio Development, Professional Observation and Professional Discussion & interview.

You will be given paid time off for study to achieve your apprenticeship.

The Apprenticeship programme to be undertaken will be dependent upon previous experience.

The Apprenticeship Training Programme forms part of your duties.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There is a strong possibility that you will gain a permanent position following successful employment as well as achievement of the full apprenticeship qualification.

There may also be further apprenticeship or other training available following successful employment and achievement of the apprenticeship qualifications.

The successful candidate who join us will undertake an apprenticeship programme matching their previous experience, if you commence on the Customer Service Practitioner Level 2, there is a strong possibility to progress to Level 3 Business Administrator.

Qualifications

Grade 4/C or above/equivalent in maths and English is essential. Work experience in an office or customer focussed environment is required ideally 1 year. Excellent ICT skills essential.
