Level 3 Light Motor Vehicle Apprentice – Northside Truck & Van Ltd

This fantastic opportunity is based at Northside’s Leeds depot. The position would suit a school/college leaver wishing to take their first steps as a Commercial Vehicle Technician. Working Week:

Monday to Friday. Usually 08.30 – 17.00 with half hour unpaid lunch and two paid tea breaks per day.

Positions

What will the apprentice be doing?

Use of diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults
Testing of parts and systems to ensure correct working
Following checklists to ensure all critical parts of vehicles are examined
Carrying service and inspection
Maintenance of electronic systems including on board entertainment systems
Undertaking repair and maintenance of vehicle parts including clutches, gearboxes, tyres, brakes and suspension
Completion of legible and accurate paperwork for the customers and centres records

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The candidate will become fully qualified with C&G level 3 certificate for a Light Motor Vehicle Technician. The successful candidate will go to Kirklees College Engineering Centre one day each week.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Post apprenticeship continual training will be given to drive your career along at Northside.
